The Electricity at Work Regulations (1989) state that all electrical systems and equipment used in the working environment should be in a safe condition. The Health & Safety Executive recommend that to comply with the regulations an inspection and testing schedule must be implemented at all workplaces. The frequency of this schedule will depend on the type of equipment and on the environment in which it is being used.

Intersafe carry out all Portable Appliance Testing in accordance with current guidelines as laid out in the IEE Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. We are an NICEIC approved contractor, and all of our Engineers are qualified to City & Guilds 2377.

Our service is designed to minimize the disruption for our clients when testing is required. We offer out of hours testing at no additional cost, and will work with the client to make sure that all staff are kept informed of when the process may affect them. We use the latest available compact and lightweight test instruments that we use to record all test data. By downloading this test data directly into our advanced database software we employ a paperless system to maximize accuracy and efficiency.

Any items that fail a test can be removed from service for safety, and a full written fail report will be issued to the client.

We can set up a schedule of future testing depending on types of equipment and environment and advise when this testing is required.
